New Collection Available Now

We are excited to say that our Autumn/Winter 2015 is now ready to buy online. featuring our most adored Flash shoe, inspired by the cult followed 1980s film 'Flash Gordon'.

The collection also includes our first ever party shoes in glittery gold. Named after and inspired by the area in London around London bridge. Borough is home to the wonderful Borough market. The area is a mix of traditional London warehousing and factories but also many modern buildings such as the Shard. These heels are perfect for working on the old cobbled streets due to their lower and chunkier heel, however still perfect for wearing out for a cocktail or two.

The perfect party shoes!

Our much adored Cornbury shoe is back, named after Cornbury Park in the heart of the Cotswolds. These shoes are the perfect compliment to your LBD, sitting by the fire and sipping a glass of champagne after a day out in then fresh air.

Yull Top Tips

Secret habits of the rich and famous

Whether it’s their healthy diet and days spent with personal trainers to ensure that they’re looking their best or the interior decorators and “lifestyle gurus” who maximise the potential of their living spaces, there’s no doubt that celebrities have something that not all of us can afford. However, with a few lifestyle changes we can easily emulate the professionals celebrities hire and transform our own lives without needing to break the bank. Here are a few tips to help you on your way:

Quality sleep to fit with your schedule

The average person should spend between 7 and 9 hours a night sleeping. This is to ensure that their body has enough time to rejuvenate tired cells and helps them to feel bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the morning. However, a recent blog post from Bedstar detailing the sleeping habits of successful individuals from Margaret Thatcher to Michael Phelps shows that adapting your sleeping pattern to your individual needs may be a vital key to maximising your potential. Whether that’s getting up an hour earlier to fit in a gym class before work or grabbing a nap during the day, it is still vital to make sure the sleep you do get is quality sleep.

Maximise your wardrobe potential

Most of us will be tempted to buy products we wouldn’t otherwise because they’re in the sale regardless of what they look like. Consequently when we open up our wardrobes to choose our outfits for the day ahead (given that, unfortunately, we don’t have a personal stylist to make these crucial decisions for us) we’re overwhelmed by choice. It is worthwhile to take the time to consider what colours, shapes, and materials work best on you. Picking pieces which easily work well together and are flattering will reduce that outfit stress so you can start the day on a positive note.

Streamline your refrigerator

As we spend more time in the office or, travelling to and from the office there is less time to spend on doing a big food shop. Research shows that we’re now much more likely to pop into a shop on the way home and grab something. Consequently, it’s vital to ensure that the food we’re grabbing really is good for us and that we’re not sacrificing our health for convenience. Spending a moment to read the fine print on the nutritional information can be a lifesaver. Don’t be fooled by the information that gives you a healthy percentage of your daily recommended allowance if you only eat 1% of it - especially if you’re planning on scoffing the lot!

Margaret Thatcher's Shoes

This past week we've witnessed the end of an era- the Iron lady in Margaret Thatcher’s death.

Many hated her, whilst others loved her. She was determined, confident and strong, yet sophisticated and elegant. From grocers daughter to the first and only female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, she was truly inspirational.

While reading an article in FT Weekend Magazine, I came across a quote by Simon Schama that described her perfectly, "She was Boudicca with a handbag, helmet-haired Gloriana, Britannia with a cruise missile".

'Maggie' with President Reagan at the White House

One of the things we remember Margaret for was her classic style, and it seems as though we're not the only ones. Samantha Cameron paid tribute to Margaret with her outfit at her funeral on Wednesday, she wore a pussy bow blouse, a style that Thatcher made her own during her residency at Number 10.

Margaret in the Yull Cheltenham shoe?

Looking at pictures of Margaret over the years, I spotted one that immediately caught my eye. It was of Margaret with President Reagan at the White House in 1987. She wore a bold print dress, pearls, and shoes that look like the Yull Cheltenham. Perhaps we should dedicate a shoe to Margaret? The Maggie?

Premiere Classe

Here at Yull we are hoping to do our first international trade show next year- hence why we keep visiting lots of shows.

Last Friday during Paris Fashion week we visited Premiere classeThe Box and The Tranoi to have a look around.

The Box on Rue Camdon

The staff's hats at Premiere Classe- we had to share

Our favourite jewellery stand at Premiere Classe

Jessica and Alisa from Mulberry at Premiere Classe.

After looking around all the shows we still had a bit of time to do visit some tourist hot spots. We headed into the MontMartre area in Paris- highly recommended if you ever make a trip to Paris.

Very French ChicA really great lunchSarah outside Premiere-classe looking very English

Who's Next Paris

Yesterday was the last day of the Who's Next Paris show www.whosnext.com so we decided to make a trip to Paris to take a look.

What started as a Yull work trip in search of international trade shows to take part in, actually turned into a fun day out. I thought we would share a few of our photos and some hot spots to visit. That and the fact that I have become an instagram fan!

The beautiful Jessica Kirk having just arrived at Gare du NordThis very cute car was parked outside of Colette- a must see in Paris http://www.colette.fr/

The stairs up to the Mulberry showroom- we were lucky enough to go inside and look at A/W 13!

A macaroon from Laduree on Rue Royale was a necessity!

A trip to France would not be a trip to France without some french bread and wine.

The Yull bag hits Paris, along with some successful map reading on my part...

I would love to share some more news and photos but we are sworn to secrecy about the A/W 13 styles we saw! Coming soon though.....
