Those involved in the fashion industry have been fearing the worst as fashion weeks all over the world have been canceled and the industry has had a hard hit due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, a light at the end of the tunnel appeared as the Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode announced that Paris Fashion Week will return this September to show women’s SS21 collections.

The shows will take place between September 28 and October 6 following guidelines and restrictions to ensure the safety of all of its guests. There will also be an online platform to showcase the brands and their collections virtually.

This comes at a time where many brands are finding new ways to reinvent themselves. Luxury brands, such as Gucci and Saint Laurent, have decided to permanently forgo the traditional fashion calendar. Smaller brands will also most likely not be able to participate because of economic concerns.

Following this announcement, spokespeople for London Fashion Week announced their plans for a hybrid of a digital and physical event in the fall. While no official decision has been made, it does create a sense of hope that events are back and so is dressing for success.

This summer season lacked the usual social scene we are accustomed to. Without Wimbledon, Ascot, Henley, or even Glynbourne happening the social calendar has felt lackluster, at best.

But, as the restrictions ease and it is evident that events are starting back up, we look forward to bringing out our nicest shoes to greet the fall and winter social events with a happy heart- and by social distancing, of course.

And Yull Shoes can help you do just that with a sneak peek at our AW20 collection.
